Nestled in acres of fragrant gardens, Yanakie offers rare seclusion, a very private and wonderful retreat. This two bedroom cottage will take you back in time- with it's wide Victorian verandahs, high pitched roof, corbelled brick chimney, to name just a few of it's many classic features. Sit on the verandah, sip sparkling Yarra Valley wine, as you reflect, meditate, and are only distracted by Kookaburras, or the occasional visit of "Groucho", a large friendly wombat. You can be at total peace in the heart of Yanakie's gardens, established by pioneering nursery men well over a hundred years ago. Wide verandahs lead to a huge living room, with rare four poster cast iron bed, comfortable soft leather couches face a beautiful Victorian open log fireplace. Rest your port glasses on the magnificent overmantle. There is an additional 'hidden' bedroom, with beautiful cast iron double bed, suitable for either another couple, or an extended family. A large spa bathroom (of course!), with stained glass windows completes this picture perfect cottage.
